Our story is not like that out of a traditional storybook fairytale, but it is “Ours.” We met on the job, stuck with each other for a long 8 hours in a rundown building in Harlem, NY. While we were in different places in our lives and our feelings toward each other were not initially mutual, it was not long before we both realized that the pieces to our existing puzzles were coming together and somehow they seemed to fit, creating an extraordinary montage.

From sitting in a patrol car to buying our first home it seemed as if time passed in the blink of an eye. Each day we spend together, we have a deeper understanding for what is means to truly love another person. The love we share is unlike that of any other, because our story has an extra piece, the most important piece- Penelope. Like the “Three Amigos,” we do everything together and support each other in all of our individual endeavors. From an unlikely place, we created a beautiful life and our own little perfect family.
